South Padre

We went to South Padre with some friends a few days ago, and I was a little nervous since it was their first trip to the beach. I'm not a big fan of sand, and I know Sophie likes to be clean.....so I had no idea what to expect. We pretty much spent the entire trip helping Sophie jump over the waves and find shells in the sand, and chasing after Brody to keep him from crawling into the ocean waves! They had a great time and we got some great pictures of them having fun at the beach. Once we got home, I even thought Sophie would be excited to get in her own bed, but all she could talk about was how much she missed the beach and her friends! We will have to plan another beach trip soon.

This is how the trip started....sadly it was the total opposite on the way home!

I know I've already posted pictures of Brody swimming, but Nick got to attend Brody's swim lesson the other day and got a video with his phone. Turned out pretty good!

Wedding Shoes

My cousin Carly is getting married on July 4th this year, and she asked Sophie to be a flower girl! She will be wearing a tutu and these shoes....adorable. They are Tom's shoes, and Sophie loves to wear them around the house and calls them her "wedding shoes". I am soooo excited to see her in her complete outfit, walking down the aisle....or whatever she decides to do that day!

Big Boy Seat

We have officially moved Brody to his big boy seat now! He isn't exactly over the weight requirement, but I am tired of all the fits he throws when I go to put him in his infant seat everyday! So...here he is in his big boy seat. He loves it, and now Sophie is close enough to pass toys to him....and take them away as well.

Dress Up

Sophie's dress up box is in her closet, so whenever she asks to play dress up I just take it out and let her play in her room. She will get an outfit on then come out and show me. Well, lately Brody just wants to be around her...so when she goes into her room to play dress up, he just follows! They usually play well together, so I don't have to check up on them....but the other day, I went in to check on them and this is what I found!

I guess that's what happens when you have an older sister!

No wonder she's always telling me that she wants a baby sister!

Swimming

Brody has been swimming for 5 weeks now, so I thought I'd try and get some pictures. He loves swimming and is very chill in the water, very unlike Sophie was during her swim lessons.
