Effects of t.v. watching

This is the kids watching Dino Dan! Pathetic....they looks sooo sad, but they are just in a zone watching the show. And this, my friends, is exactly why I only let them watch 2 shows, then the t.v. goes off for the rest of the day!

Tiger feet

Brody got these Tiger slippers to go with some PJ's, for Christmas from his Grampy and Nana. He has been on love with them ever since! He wakes up first thing in the morning saying "Tiger feet!" He wears them all day, on his feet, on his hands, on his head. He walks around growling like a tiger, and screams if Sophie even gets near his tiger feet. He even insisted that he wear them to Target a few days ago. I had regular shoes picked out for him, but he threw such a fit, I just gave in. He doesn't look particularly happy in this picture, but he does love his new tiger feet. Thanks Grampy and Nana!

Playing House

Sophie got this house when she was a year old. She loved it back then, but I never imagined that both the kids would still play with it when Sophie was 3 1/2! They love it though and play together, not always nicely, a majority of the day. What a great toy!

Endoscopy #2

Well, we are headed back to Texas Children's on Tuesday morning at 7am to get endoscopy #2 done with Sophie. The doctors have pretty much decided that eventually tests will come back positive for Celiac Disease, for Sophie. Her doctor says that since the tests for this disease are not the best, that sometimes it takes years for the tests to come back positive. So, after this test we plan on putting Sophie back on a gluten free diet, since we're almost positive that's what she needs. We intend to keep her on the diet for a year or two, then try adding gluten again at a much later date, to see how she reacts. I am actually going to try to be on the diet with her, since I am pretty sure I have a sensitivity to gluten. So, that's where we are with Sophie's digestive issue. Please be praying for our sweet girl on Tuesday, and pray that coming out of anesthesia isn't as hard for her as it was when she had this procedure done at 18 months old. Thank you.

Family Dinner Time

As many of you know, my kids are CRAZY when it comes to food. They act as if they haven't eaten in days, every time food in near! So, ever since Sophie was born Nick and I have been feeding the kids dinner, putting them to bed, then eating dinner by ourselves. I decided about 3 weeks ago that we should start eating dinner as a family. I remember many family dinners from when I was little, and would love for the kids to have the same memories. I guess I will consider it my New Year's Resolution, since I didn't really make one this year. It puts a little more pressure on me, since that means I have to have dinner ready on the table every night about 6:30pm, and I haven't made it a habit of cooking much...ever! But I figure, it's worth it to have the family eating at the same time around one table. We will see how it goes!

Little Boys Maternity Jeans, who knew!!

Brody is not a fan of clothes in general, so on this day he had refused to wear a shirt. Whatever, we were just hanging around the house. But it made me laugh because I noticed that his jeans looked almost exactly like my old maternity jeans! Funny too, because his belly is that of a 6 months along pregnant woman. Oh my little Bro-Bro!

Matching Aprons

Sophie has had a cooking apron that she uses with her kitchen. For Christmas, Brody got an apron from his DeeDee, so now they wear them at the same time and walk around playing. Too cute!

Fun times!

The kids have made up yet another new game together. They lay on the floor and slide around the house! Must be exciting!
